25/04/2007 - TK delivers kitesports to Kent College

Today we delivered the first kite sports session for Kent College, a school located at Canterbury. We had ten 15-17 year olds from the college involved with two teachers assisting.

The partnership was suggested by Head of Girls' Sport, Carol Baker from Kent College in order to get the kids involved in different acitivities outside the traditional sports of football, cricket and hockey etc. The ultimate aim is to deliver a package of training to the teenagers over a term and develop their skills from basic kite flying all the way through to parakarting and kite landboarding.

The first session went extremely well with all the kids enjoying themselves as did the teachers who tried their hands as well.

We'll have more info from the kids themselves at the end of the term with their verdicts.
