Paracademy Feature at the London Boatshow04/12/2007
Transition Kiteboarding, as part of the Paracademy Network will be exhibiting in a new feature section at the London Boat Show from the 11 - 20 January 2008.
A fitting send off for the season12/11/2007
It was a great end to the kite surfing season this weekend that it should be more or less sunny, pretty cold but the wind was perfect and Whitstable was the location for most of the kite surfers in Kent and Essex to descend on for their final rides of the year.
TK trains teachers at Lewisham08/11/2007
Today was the start of training for teachers in Lewisham Borough in London on their path to becoming kite sports instructors. Nine teachers from nearly as many schools across Lewisham Borough joined Andrew and Coenie up on Blackheath for the basic kite skills component of their training.
2008 Course dates available12/10/2007
It's that time of the year where the leaves start turning red and yellow and the great big book of tide data thunks through our letter box. When that happens we know we have the yearly job of doing next year's course planning.
Lance Nunn - Street Session28/07/2007
It took a while to get the raw footage together however we've finally got the edited version of the video of Lance Nunn jumping Whitstable Street a week or so back when it was blowing a very hefty 30+ knots westerly. The idea was for Lance to put some new Carved kit through its paces but in the end turned into a session with Mark from Whitstable Windsurfing videoing and Andrew taking 4-500 photographs.
Kitesports in Cornwall26/07/2007
The Kite Sports in Schools programme is gathering pace now and Andrew is certainly racking up mileage as Kerrier District Council in Cornwall are the next to get some instructors trained to deliver power kite training to kids when they come back into Autumn Term in September.
The best kitesurfing summer ever?14/07/2007
So whilst June has been the wettest June in recorded history in the UK and July hasn't fared much better, one surprising turn of events has been that kite sports and kite surfing in particular have been a surprising beneficiary of summer weather gone mad.
TK participates in Kent College Activity Day04/07/2007
Today had James and Andrew up at Kent College teaching nearly 60 Year 8 students how to fly powerkites in three groups over two hour sessions. The aim was to introduce Year 8s to traction kiting as part of their activity week and to generate interest for when they come back from summer holidays to learn kite sports properly over a full term one afternoon a week.

Hopefully you are having a great summer solstice, whether it is jumping round a field naked, surfing, sitting outdoors having a beer until midnight or like Mark T, our man in Scotland visiting Norway for a midnight kite surfing fest where the sun doesn't sleep.
Landboarding back on teaching syllabus24/05/2007
After a long abscence and several false starts over the last couple of years, Transition Kiteboarding is finally running land boarding courses again. This is thanks to a partnership arrangement with Kent College at Canterbury who have kindly let us use their sports field and to whom we are delivering kite sports training for some of their older students.
Suffolk Kite Sports training a resounding success18/05/2007
The Suffolk Kite Sports teacher training has come to an end now and was a resounding success. The 48 teachers involved all progressed really well and have trodden the first steps on the path to becoming instructors later in the year.

Transition Kiteboarding has been engaged by the British Kite Sports Organisation on behalf of Flexifoil and the Suffolk Sports Partnership to deliver powerkite training to 50 teachers over 2 weeks in May. This is being done as part of the Kite Sports in Schools initiative set up by Active England, part of Sport England.
Norfolk centre opens for business07/05/2007
Our Norfolk centre at Gorleston-on-Sea has now opened. This is the third centre we have operating in the UK as part of the Paracademy Consortium, offering high quality, dedicated kite sports training with no retail attached.
TK delivers kitesports to Kent College25/04/2007
Today we delivered the first kite sports session for Kent College, a school located at Canterbury. We had ten 15-17 year olds from the college involved with two teachers assisting.

BKSA / IKO partnership Transition's position.22/02/2007
Yesterday, 21 Feb 2007, the IKO released the results of a poll conducted at the start of January where they asked all IKO instructors in the UK their position on whether the IKO should be independent in the UK, whether a partnership of the IKO and BKSA should continue [as currently is the case] or whether we wanted a completely independent BKSA.
