22/03/2007 - Transition becomes British Kitesports Member
Transition Kiteboarding has been accepted as a member of the British Kitesports Organisation (see www.britishkitesports.org.uk).
British Kitesports is a body set up for the guidance and development of professional kite sports training in the UK and works with all governing bodies and structures including the IKO, BKSA and BPKA for development of training packages as well as Sport England to push kite sports as an activity for as many people to enjoy as possible.
As part of this, British Kitesports is heavily involved in a partnership with Sport England and Active England for delivering the Kite Sports in Schools programme. A project to teach kids about kite sports and get them engaged in alternative sporting activities. Transition is pleased to announce that we are involved on this project and are about to embark on the training of 50 teachers to beome powerkite instructors.
