15/09/2005 - Daryl and Sue head south
Maybe winter is coming early this year - certainly none of the leaves are turning colour yet nor are the birds migrating but Daryl and Sue have left for the season heading off to Moon Beach in Egypt to do their winter contact.
Daryl, often referred to as the kite surfing equivalent of Gordon Ramsay, has been an instructor at Transition for two years and Susan has been here all this season whilst they have prepared for their progression into the unknown as they have now sold up their house and belongings and left the UK with two board bags and a couple of backpacks between them - to travel the globe wherever the winds take them.
They will be sorely missed, but not for too long as many from Transition will be decamping to Egypt over the winter to say hello. So if you are one of our graduated students [or even if you aren't] and are looking for an inviting and friendly place to holiday to over the winter months, check out Moon Beach as you'll be welcomed whole heartedly by Daryl and Sue as well as Lesley who runs it.
Moon Beach is a top destination for Kite Surfing and has plenty of things to do for non-kitesurfers or no wind days including yoga and other water sports.
