20/04/2004 - Kiitesurfer critical after being lofted

All the members of Transition Kiteboarding offer their support and sympathy for the Milton family after Ross [17] was "lofted" into a building on Saturday evening. Ross is in a critical condition and is in hospital after sustaining head injuries.

Ross had been competing during the day at the BKSA Amateurs competition in Porthcawl, Wales after which he decided to go riding with his dad up the coast a short distance away. A squall caught him, generating high speed winds that caused the accident to happen.

This is another sad day for everyone that kitesurfs in the UK, especially following on the heels of Alastair's incident in only August last year.
