03/10/2004 - Look out and ask for help

Another windy weekend and another worrying accident. At Camber this weekend a rider hit a large aluminium sign which was lucky as he didn't hit the spiky fence or road behind it. The reason was because he was trying to self-launch his kite in 30kts of wind and didn't ask someone to help.

We do get sick of having to write this however please ask people for help to launch and land your kite. Do look downwind before you set up and know what you are going to hit. And finally if you are standing about whilst someone is trying to self-launch give them a hand.

Accidents like this don't need to happen.
