Where is the school?
Transition Kiteboarding is located in Whitstable, Kent, near to Canterbury and only 35 minutes from the M25 straight along the M2. This makes us the closest BKSA approved training centre to London and the South East.
We have a large teaching area ranging from the Island of Sheppey all the way to Herne bay, some 5 kilometers away. This means we can choose the best place to teach you depending on the conditions.
The large natural bays of Whitstable and Tankerton have created an area of shallows perfect for teaching kitesurfing and also riding. Indeed some of the world's best riders come to Whitstable to train due to its flat water.
The training centre is located at Beach Walk in Whitstable in the same premises as Whitstable Windurfing*. Each day you will meet at the shop and get kitted up and then chose the best location for teaching that day.

how to get there
By train:
Catch the Ramsgate train from London Victoria, which takes approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. Fares are generally less than £20 for a return ticket.
From the station, we are a 5-minute walk straight down Westmeads Road to Tower Parade and a service station. Turn right and walk up about 50 metres and you will see Whitstable Windsurfing [where we are based for training] on the corner with Beach Walk.

By car:
Follow the M2 to junction 7 and then take the A299 towards Yorkletts, Herne Bay and Whitstable. Just after passing Yorkletts, take the A2990 turn off to Whitstable. Go straight through the first roundabout, ignoring the left hand indicator to Whitstable and stay on the A2990. Go straight through the next roundabout where there is a large tescos. Take the next left turning which is Church Street following the road all the way down over the railway bridge where it turns into Castle Road. Following Castle Road all the way down you will get to Northwood Road or Tankerton Road if you've gone too far. Either way, turn left and drive to the end. You will be at a large intersection with Tower Parade and Tower Hill. Turn left again then on the right will be Beach Walk. Whitstable Windsurfing where we are based should be in front of you so come in and say hello and one of our staff will be happy to help.
Parking is available around Beach Walk although it is limited. There is also a car park opposite the service station on Tower Parade, which is pay and display.
