Land Board Taster Day
An introduction to the land boarding discipline - we give you a short safety briefing and get you familiarised with the equipment then it is off to the field to have some fun. We'll get you started learning to control the traction kites we use for power getting you to "scud" on the grass. Once your kite skills are getting honed we'll then get you onto your boards for your first runs.

About this course
You can't learn everything about kite land boarding in just one day, but if you are after an introduction or are looking for a fun day out without having to get wet this is for you. We do land boarding courses all year round as well so if you are after a cracking gift for someone look no further!
The day is 99% experience and fun, without going into all of the other detail we would do on a normal course so you can maximise your flying time and try out this great sport.
We start out the day with an introduction so you know what to expect, and in safety terms know how to release the kite as well as understand the hand signals our instructors will use and after that it is out onto the field to start some flying with some traction kites.
As the day progresses and you get the hang of pilioting the kites, we start getting you to "scud" where you get the kite to slide you along the grass.
Finally we break out the boards and after a short demonstration on how to stop, you'll be trying out your first runs across the field.
The natural progression from this course is to either get some 1-2-1 tution or to go onto the 2-day beginners' course which will give you the full training to become a competent and self-sufficient rider.
