Andrew Fisher

IKO/BKSA Instructor [L2], BKSA National Trainer, Transition Head Instructor

Andrew is the Head Instructor at Transition Kiteboarding, where he has been teaching for three years. He was one of the first instructors to go through the entire IKO system whereby he did the "original" 3-day course and after gaining experience went on to go to the first Philippines ITC.

Andrew retired from his job as a Technical Director in the city after 10 years of giving far more than his pound of flesh. He is Australian born and bred but loves the UK - more so now after discovering the untouched areas of coastline we have to offer here.

Andrew says: "I've been riding for 5 years now and I've been teaching for 4 of those. I still love teaching and riding as much as I did when I started. Coming back to the beach after nearly 10 years in a stressful city job has been great. The people you meet are fantastic and chilled out and it is true - a bad day on the beach is better than the best day in the office!"

When not telling people off for launching in the wrong spot, Andrew can generally be spotted on the beach with his unruly mane of hair and flip flops and out in the water riding his luminous yellow Rhino2 which he still believes is the best kite ever produced.
